October 23, 2007
New York, NY

Reports 2007 Revenue of $17.1 Million; Net Income of $2.3 Million
Launch of Next Generation Web Site Tops List of Successful ’07 Initiatives

(NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2007) CPA2Biz Inc., the marketing and technology services subsidiary of the American Institute of CPAs, today announced its 2007 year-end business results at the AICPA Fall Council Meeting being held this week in Tampa.  The company reported revenue of $17.1 million and net income of $2.3 million for the year ending July 31, 2007.  The results reflect strong growth over prior year, which had revenue of $15.7 million and net income of $1.5 million, respectively.

This marks the third consecutive year of profitability for CPA2Biz and coincides with the successful June release of its next generation web site.

“To deliver the financial results we did this year while undertaking such an enormous business initiative is an accomplishment we’re all very proud of,” said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO, CPA2Biz Inc.  “The redesigned site is built on a powerful new Web platform and has been re-engineered to give finance professionals enhanced navigation and search, extensive product information, peer recommendations and faster checkout.”

CPA2Biz made the multi-million dollar investment in the next generation site at a time when it is ranked by Internet Retailer as one of the Top 500 e-commerce sites in the U.S. two years in a row.  It demonstrates the company’s willingness to invest in areas that are already performing well in order to meet the increasing demands of its customers.  Since the June release, site traffic has grown 20%.

During the year, CPA2Biz also launched its Trusted Advisor Program; tools, resources and training to help CPAs at small and mid size firms expand their role with clients from technical expert to trusted business advisor.  The new initiative was very well received by CPAsand complements the Business Solutions Program launched by CPA2Biz several years back and which now has about half the CPAs firms in the U.S. enrolled.

As part of its 2007 Trusted Advisor training efforts, CPA2Biz conducted seven workshops in coordination with state CPA societies across the country.  An additional 20 workshops are already scheduled for 2008.
