Description

Welcome to the AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Examination Online Registration. The PFS Exam is now offered twice per year on the following dates. NOTE: Candidates are only allowed to take the exam once per calendar year (Summer exam takers CANNOT retake Winter exam the same year; Winter exam takers CAN retake the next Summer exam).     

You may not be required to take the PFS exam if you have successfully passed another comprehensive financial planning exam. Check here for the requirements.

  • Add the PFS Exam Review Course to your order and receive an additional 10% discount on the first-time exam registration and either review program! Note: both items must be purchased within the same order to earn the 10% discount.
  • $200, $400 and $600 Exam Sponsorships, funded by the Association of CPA Financial Planners, are available for PFP Section members prepare for and compete either 2012 exam. This will reimburse some of your costs after the exam is completed. Apply today!

Step 1: Exam registration – Purchase the PFS exam and receive an email confirmation of your purchase. Upon completion of this initial exam registration, your credit card will be charged the non-refundable exam fee. Upon successfully passing the PFS Credential Exam and subsequently applying for the PFS Credential, you will be required to pay a PFS Credential fee. 

Step 2: Exam scheduling - Six weeks prior (and weekly thereafter) to your exam window, we will send out the Notice to Schedule (NTS) email enabling you to schedule the specific day and location to take the exam. The exam is offered at testing centers in hundreds of locations across the nation. You can schedule to take the exam at the location that suits you best any time during the two exam window you selected. 

PAYMENT OF THE EXAM FEE SERVES AS CONFIRMATION THAT YOU HAVE READ THE REGISTRATION & SCHEDULING TERMS & CONDITIONS. VIEW THE REGISTRATION & SCHEDULING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
