ABOUT SID KESS
Sidney Kess, CPA, J.D., LL.M., is a nationally renowned tax expert and author/coauthor of hundreds of tax books on financial and estate planning. Sid is one of the nation’s best known lecturers in continuing professional education, having taught tax, financial, and estate planning to more than 700,000 practitioners. He received the AICPA’s 2011 Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Service.
Sid was the national director of taxes at KMG Main Hurdman and a tax partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. He received his J.D. from Harvard University School of Law and LL.M. from New York University Graduate School of Law.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
James Carberry is the principal of Carberry Communications, a business writing and editing service based in Portland, Oregon. He has been a corporate writer and editor, a business writer based in Singapore, and, for ten years, a staff reporter of the Wall Street Journal. Before joining the Journal, he was a reporter for newspapers in Berkeley and Riverside, California. Carberry is the co-author of The Inside Track to Careers in Accounting. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
