One of the biggest challenges facing tax practitioners is keeping up with changes in the tax law. The AICPA Tax Advocacy Team, based in Washington D.C., focuses a significant amount of their time on exactly that. Our tax advocacy efforts support the public interest and our members by advocating for sound tax policy and effective tax administration.
The Washington Tax Brief is a webcast series offered by the AICPA Tax Section to help keep members informed of what is going on in Washington that may affect you, your practice and/or your clients. In this session, Ed Karl, VP of Taxation, and Melissa M. Labant, Director of Tax Advocacy, will provide updates on all major AICPA tax-related advocacy initiatives, discuss hot topics facing CPA tax practitioners and answer participants' questions. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns (about potential legislation, impractical regulations or much-needed guidance) to our tax advocacy leaders! All AICPA members are welcome to attend. Tax Section, PFP and PCPS members may also attend this webcast for free, without CPE.
Keep up with proposed tax legislation, important changes to regulatory and administrative guidance, and related AICPA advocacy efforts.
