Professional Ethics: Navigating the Gray Areas

This course will teach you a methodology for complying with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (the Code) in the “gray areas,” that is, when explicit guidance such as rulings or interpretations is not available.

• Identify matters that require an assessment of your ongoing compliance with the Code.
• Analyze matters using an ethical decision-making model to determine an appropriate course of action.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation of your assessment of ethical compliance.
