• Identify pending changes to the ethics and independence rules and areas of practice that may be subject to standard setting in 2011 and 2012
• Reinforce your understanding of personal independence rules of the AICPA and the requirements for providing non-attest services to attest clients
• Apply the Conceptual Framework to an independence matter
• Describe important PCAOB and SEC requirements for independence
