Overview

AICPA has partnered with the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative faculty at North Carolina State University to offer the one and one-half day workshop: The Board and Senior Executive Roles in Risk Oversight: Taking a Strategic View of the Enterprise. This workshop helps board and audit committee members understand expectations for greater risk oversight and develop effective audit committee practices for evaluating and monitoring techniques used to manage entity risks so that stakeholder value is protected and enhanced.  Senior executives will find this information helpful as well due to the interaction between the board, audit committee and senior executives.

This high-level forum - limited to 100 participants - offers attendees an interactive setting for dialogue with leading experts on trends related to the intersection of ERM and board and audit committee governance and strategic planning, in addition to providing an opportunity for the exchange of ideas.

NEW!  Session 4, ERM IN PRACTICE: A CASE STUDY, will be led by Fred Colaggero, Compliance Officer and Vice President - Audit Services, Xerium Technologies Corporation (an NYSE registrant), Raleigh, NC.

Session 7, PANEL DISCUSSION: HOW IS YOUR BOARD HANDLING ITS RISK OVERSIGHT RESPONSIBILITIES?, panelists include Charles H. Noski who serves on the boards of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Automatic Data Processing, Inc., Microsoft, and Morgan Stanley; and Joe N. Steakley who serves as Senior Vice President and General Auditor, Hospital Corporation of America and member of the board at J. Alexander’s Restaurant, Inc.
