Michelle Savage, VP Adoption and Communications Michelle Savage manages the education, marketing, communications and outreach efforts of XBRL US, Inc., a nonprofit consortium dedicated to the widespread US adoption of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), an emerging technology standard in how business information is reported. Ms. Savage joins XBRL from PR Newswire where she focused on developing services to help companies communicate their key messages and information to shareholders and potential investors. During her tenure at PR Newswire, Ms. Savage oversaw the introduction and sales of new services to corporate and agency investor relations executives. Within the XBRL-US committee of the AICPA, Ms. Savage served as the vice chair of the Steering Committee as well as the Chair of the Adoption Working Group. Ms. Savage has been intimately involved in developing strategies for XBRL adoption in the US. Previously, she held positions as an equity analyst at Shearson Lehman Hutton and a marketing executive at Pepsi Cola. Ms Savage is also on the Board of the New York chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute where she serves as the EVP, Programs.

Jeffrey Naumann is the Assistant Director in the Office of Interactive Disclosure at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this position, Mr. Naumann advises on technologies that support the Commissions strategic plan and enhance the effectiveness of key activities. Specific focus includes new initiatives related to disclosure, including exploring the implementation of 'interactive data' in Commission filings. Prior to joining the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, he worked for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants where he was actively involved in the development of the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) in the U.S. This included working with the accounting community, software vendors and other companies on the development of the technology specification and managing the development of U.S. GAAP financial reporting taxonomies. Mr. Naumann previously worked for Deloitte & Touche for eight years. He spent four years as an auditor in the New York Tri-State Region, primarily working with consumer business entities. He later entered the firm’s Management Development Program and spent four years in the firm’s National Technology Office in Princeton, New Jersey where he participated in the development of technology solutions to support the firm’s assurance services. Mr. Naumann attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

John Stantial is Assistant Controller for United Technologies Corporation, a $40+ billion conglomerate whose businesses include Carrier heating and air conditioning, Otis Elevators, Pratt & Whitney engines, Sikorsky helicopters, Hamilton Sundstrand aerospace systems and UTC Fire & Security Systems. His department is responsible for all statutory filings, including XBRL furnishings, government reports, annual reports and all financial accounting and reporting policies of United Technologies Corporation. John has over 20 years of combined public and private financial experience including previous positions as a Chief Financial Officer of an aerospace manufacturer, Vice President of a Heavy and Highway Contractor, Director of Finance for a cell tower manufacturer and Controller of an aerospace business within the Czech Republic. John graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BBA.

John F. Hudson, CPA is the President of Hudson Consulting Group, LLC. He has been quoted in leading business publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal - Europe Edition, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Bloomberg Business News and virtually every trade publication addressing the CPA profession.

John is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and a former member of the U.S. delegation to the International Accounting Standards Board and the Journal of Accountancy Editorial Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Graduate School of Business at Florida State University

John is a Certified Public Accountant [CPA] and holds a Master of Business Administration [MBA] degree from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida.
