Unfortunately and fortunately, these returns do not talk and require careful analysis to find how to help your clients. More than income tax planning, these returns carry a plethora of planning information that go way beyond trimming next years tax bill. In this session, you will learn how to do what all CPAs should do with the information collected during a tax engagement to deliver more proactive and holistic financial planning services to your clients. Beyond this session, you will never again enter into a financial planning engagement without a copy of the prior two years tax returns.

John started his career in public accounting in 1978 with Alexander Grant & Company, and then went on to build a small CPA firm with a financial planning focus in Wayland, MA. In 1992, John left the practice of public accounting to concentrate on financial planning for individuals and small businesses.
As Chairman and CEO of U.S. Wealth Management, LLC, John started the company to help CPAs build a Wealth Management Practice around their core accounting practice. Today, U.S. Wealth Management, LLC, and its subsidiaries now serve CPAs, Attorneys, Insurance Brokers and Financial Advisors looking to provide holistic wealth management services to their clients. The vision for the firm is to enhance the practice of Financial Advisors and Professional Service Firms with professional coaching and business planning strategies to successfully build, execute and create value in their wealth management business.
John is a well-known financial practitioner, writer, instructor, and broadcast commentator.
