Barry C Picker, CPA/PFS, CFP is a Certified Public Accountant with the Personal Financial Specialist designation from the AICPA, is a Certified Financial Planner™ licensee, and has a Masters of Science in Taxation from Pace University.  Besides being a shareholder in Picker & Weinberg, CPAs, P.C., an accounting and financial planning firm located in Brooklyn, NY, he regularly consults with other professionals on retirement planning issues.

Barry has appeared on radio and television, and has been quoted in numerous publications, including Worth, Fortune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Newsweek, Kiplingers, and Business Week.  He regularly speaks to other accounting and financial planning professionals on estate planning and financial planning topics.

Barry is the author of "Barry Picker's Guide to Retirement Distribution Planning" (June, 2002), is a member of the NYS Society of CPAs Estate Planning Committee, currently is the chairperson of the NYS Society of CPAs' Employee Benefits Committee, and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City.

Charles E. Landes (Chuck) is Vice President - Professional Standards and Services for the AICPA. In this capacity, Chuck oversees the technical activities of the Auditing Standards Board (ASB), Accounting and Review Services Committee (ARSC), Accounting Standards Executive Committee (AcSEC) and the PCPS Technical Issues Committee (TIC). 

Team members help committees draft and deliberate authoritative professional standards and interpretations. Team members also develop non-authoritative professional guidance such as Auditing Practice Releases, Statements of Position (SOPs), Professional Issue Task Force Alerts, Technical Practice Aid Q&As and other forms of guidance on emerging issues.   Chuck also serves as the AICPA's representative to the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO).

Chuck is a former member of the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA and was a member of the Audit Issues Task Force. He is a former chair of the AICPA's Peer Review Committee of the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA.  He also served on the SEC Practice Section peer review committee as well as the AICPA Peer Review Board. Additionally, he is a past member of the board of directors of the Ohio Society of CPAs.
Prior to joining the AICPA in October 2000, Chuck served as partner in charge of the accounting and auditing practice of Barnes, Dennig & Co. a large local firm located in Cincinnati, Ohio.   He began his public accounting experience with Ernst & Whinney (now known as Ernst & Young) and was also a member of KMG Main Hurdman.

Chuck is a graduate of Miami University with a B.S. in accounting. He received his M.B.A. from Bowling Green State University.

Richard G. Duplantier, Jr. is engaged in a general litigation practice. He specializes in all facets of professional liability, including medical, accounting and legal malpractice defense. Rick is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C. Rick’s professional memberships include the New Orleans, Louisiana State, American and Federal Bar Associations and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He also is on the Board of Editors for the Federal Bar and News Journal. Rick received undergraduate degrees in communications and political science from Marquette University and his law degree from Loyola University.

Stephen Winters has spent 25 years in the public accounting arena. He began his career with a large local firm, moved on to become the managing shareholder of his own accounting and consulting firm and then helped start Arthur Anderson's Austin, Texas office. In 2001, Steve joined the founding management team of CPA2Biz, a for profit subsidiary of the AICPA. At CPA2Biz, he was responsible for developing and marketing programs designed to help CPAs in the practice of public accounting.

In 2006, Steve joined the AICPA as Director of the Institute's Specialized Communities and Firm Practice Management areas. In this role, Steve is responsible for operations, service development and service delivery to CPAs working in the specialty areas of Information Technology, Personal Financial Planning, Business Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Support. He is also responsible for the Private Companies Practice Section which focuses on CPA firm practice management issues.

Throughout his career, Steve has served as a consultant to businesses as well as to public accounting and consulting firms. Additionally, he has experience as a licensed investment adviser and was the chief operations officer of a software development company. Steve has served as an officer, board member and committee volunteer for a variety of organizations including the Untied Ways of Texas, the Texas Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
